PANELS OFFERED BY OUR PROGRAM

If you'd like to look over our prezi presentation beforehand, please follow this link to take a peek.

1

GENERAL PANEL

This is our most common presentation; starting with a 10-15 minute session we present basic terminology and perception of identity. By doing this we hope to give the audience a foundation to start a dialogue! From there we spend the remaining time opening up the floor for a Q & A  session between the audience and panelists.

2

TRANS* RELATED PANELS

We offer a few presentations focused on the trans* community. One of our presentations focuses on transphobia, taking a brief look at the trans* community and what it means to live in a heteronormative world. Vision's second trans* related panel focuses on what an individual can do to combat transphobia.

3

This presentation focuses on how we can create inclusive spaces; tackling issues

like the "isms" how to be a better ally and using your own identity's strengths to

help promote diversity and create that safe space where ever you go.

CREATING INCLUSIVE SPACES

All of our panels consist of one facilitator and a few panelists, the number of panelists is determined by the size of estimated attendance. We actively try to bring diversity to every panel, dive into the intersections of identities, and express each individuals lived-experience. Vision & the Panel Program strongly believe in the acknowledgment of a system that oppresses multiple identities and that a discussion about LGBT+ experience includes all identities.

Each presentation includes a small "lecture" with a prezi (making AV preferred although not necessary) that can be found below, followed by Q & A with our panelists where the audience can dig deeper into the information provided or any other questions in the hopes we can foster and facilitate constructive conversation about the queer experience.

Our transphobia presentation can be accessed through this link.
